Let's do the [1980s] time warp again

"Let's do the [1980s] time warp again.

[In Scotland only] It's just a jump to the left.

And then [in England] a step to the ri-i-ight."

The first government of the 1980s was voted for in 1979, re-turning the hated figure of Maggie Thatcher.

Back then in Scotland, we voted Lab 44, Con 22 and SNP 2 - so it wasn't bloody us that brought in Thatcher! During the 80s, we always voted more Labour than Tory! No, the 80s' Tory nightmare wasn't our doing. Wales had the same outlook, always voting more Labour than Tory.

Down in England, of course, they fell over themselves with glee to vote in the evil Milk Snatcher! England, dear green right-wing England, what the Hell's wrong with you? England - you were the ones that voted more Tories than Labour!

Now you've gone and done it again!

Let's go back to the 1980s mantra of "there's no such thing as society" and re-awaken what Harry Enfield described as the loadsamoney culture:

Yes England, you've stupidly taken us back in time to the 1980s!

"With a bit of a mind flip

You're into the time slip.

And nothing can ever be the same.

You're spaced out on sensation.

Like you're under sedation.

Let's do the [1980s] time warp again.
Let's do the [1980s] time warp again."

(Who's up for killing Einstein? Time travel's all his fault anyway...)

The bastard.
